These pieces are the outcome of the collaborative efforts of the client and myself. They are often built to serve a specific function and are a reflection of our combined sensibilities. The technique used in the carved glass is different than that of an etched piece. In etched work the images are two dimensional with only etched and clear glass used to create a two dimensional, flat image. In carved glass the artist can create limitless layers of depth and shading. The result is similar to bas relief sculpture. Pricing of these glass pieces varies greatly depending on the depth of detail and installation concerns.
